Lusaka, the capital of Zambia is a vibrant city with an ethnically diverse population. There is a large immigrant and expat population consisting of people from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Europe and America. The main language spoken in the region is Nyanja, followed by Bemba. However, English is widely spoken as well. Lusaka has a wide range of restaurants due to its diverse population and also cheap and affordable facilities for accommodation. Modern malls, local markets and proximity to national parks make Lusaka an ideal city for young adults.

Kenneth Kaunda International Airport is the international airport in Lusaka, Zambia with a capacity of 2 million passengers a year. It is approximately 26 kms (16 miles) north-east of the city centre.
